A beta gear guide needs a date and a comparison. We downloaded the current public item data on October 11, compared it with our previous snapshot, and refreshed the equipment index, detail records and written notes.

Current snapshot: build 1.60.1.70338, extracted October 11 at 02:36 UTC. The index includes 11,387 equippable records out of 22,256 total item records. It is a public-data snapshot, not a live inventory of everything obtainable on a realm.

What changed in this refresh

  • 38 additional equippable records; no records removed from the full item dataset.
  • 177 existing raw item records differ; 175 have changes in the gameplay fields we compared.
  • 167 item IDs have changed source records across the full dataset, including non-equipment.
  • Dungeon-run observations now link supported equipment to named bosses, separately from unverified provider clues.

These are differences between public data snapshots. They are not all newly introduced game items or changes made on October 11. An older item can newly appear in the extraction, and source records can change as observations arrive.

Three changes that affect our existing comparisons

Previous October 8 record versus refreshed October 11 record
EquipmentPrevious recordRefreshed record
Glinteye Slippers6 Intellect, 6 Spirit, 9 Stamina7 Spell Power, 6 Spirit, 9 Stamina
Ring of Power Regulation8 Stamina, 2 Mana per 5 sec6 Spell Power, 3 Mana per 5 sec
Runebound GlovesRare; 71 Armor, 16 Attack Power, 10 Stamina, 5 SpiritUncommon; 64 Armor, 12 Attack Power, 7 Stamina, 4 Spirit

The ring now poses a different question: spell-related benefit and recovery instead of a Stamina tradeoff. The boots no longer provide the base Intellect shown in our old record. For the gloves, compare the reduced values and armor with your current slot instead of relying on an older rarity colour.

A dungeon association is not automatically a drop

The new dungeon loot finder keeps three evidence categories visible: observed drops, inherited Classic references and unverified associations. The third category includes provider clues based on item names or nearby client records. We do not convert a clue into a confirmed boss drop.

Excavation Site: Wetlands has three supported equipment observations in this dataset. Each has one recorded drop in one recorded kill. We display that sample without turning it into a 100% probability. City of Dalaran has no public equipment-to-boss links in this snapshot, even though newly added item names may sound related.

Additional equipment records

These 38 records were absent from our previous snapshot. Names and item IDs are included so you can inspect the actual stats and evidence. Inclusion does not establish that an item is newly added to the game or obtainable at level 30.

How to use a changed record

  1. Save the current in-game tooltip and note your build and date.
  2. Compare the exact slot or complete weapon setup being replaced.
  3. Keep resource, survival and damage benefits separate.
  4. Check acquisition evidence and your class’s proficiency.
  5. If the live tooltip differs, report the item ID and a reproducible observation through Contact.

Sources and limits

Facts come from ForeverDB’s public item records, its extraction metadata and dated dungeon records linked on each dungeon page. Read the provider methodology for their collection process. Written comparisons are Forever Tavern editorial; we have not independently playtested the changes. Server hotfixes can change after this snapshot.
