Power Overwhelming

Basis: public beta records, with our editorial planning advice. Not independently playtested.

What the record establishes

The summary describes a Mana Elemental while the objective field names Arcanic Enigma. The source lists this as an Alliance Dalaran quest for High Sorcerer Andromath in Stormwind.

Suggested approach

1. Read both fields in your client

Before the encounter, compare the narrative objective with the tracker’s named target. Do not plan around the assumption that any mana elemental advances the quest.

2. Identify the intended encounter

Share the exact active target name with your group. Use the quest tracker to confirm eligibility rather than inferring an encounter location or combat mechanic from the creature’s name.

3. Verify credit, then plan Stormwind

Inspect completion after the encounter. If it advanced, keep the city return in your travel plan and review the reward tooltips at handover.

Planning notes

The two labels are a useful warning that prose summaries and objective fields can differ. The planning response is to resolve the identity before spending an entire run on the wrong target. This page deliberately does not turn a name discrepancy into a claim that the current beta is bugged.

Quests to compare with this plan

• Starving Arcane — A separate three-type kill objective to compare with this named target.
• A Green Sample — Another Alliance-listed Dalaran quest; check availability.
